Alain will show cutting methods with different tools and techniques on both wood and lino, hand printing as an alternative to printing with a press, how to make a jigsaw plate for multicolour printing, using lino plates for chine collé techniques and methods of transferring images.
A graduate of Concordia University, Alain has been printmaking and teaching in Victoria since 1993. In his Victoria Chinatown studio, Alain works in printmaking, drawing, painting and collage, creating multi-media 2 and 3 dimensional pieces.
