Lena says: "I've been painting since childhood, and teaching adults since 1989. I especially enjoy working with very small groups of adult beginners. I like to say, 'I'm a gardener; I grow painters.' Feedback from hundreds of students has consistently been very positive.

I have exhibited and sold numerous works in both acrylic and oil, in BC and Ontario. As a colourist painter, I enjoy a variety of approaches, from lyrical abstraction to expressionism, though I mainly teach realism in painting".
