Basic Techniques for Drypoint Etching

$195 + $45 + HST This workshop will introduce you to a variety of printing methods using plexiglass and an etching press. Techniques will include drypoint(drawing on the plate with a sharp point) and chine collé (bonding thin paper to heavier paper with rice paste, in order to pull finer details off the plate). Classes are limited to 6 students to ensure maximum instruction and customized support. Classes will be every sunday in March; 4, 11, 18, and 25, from 12-4pm located at The Neighbourhood Art Studios in Walnut Grove, 1-20059-92A ave, Langley, B.C.
Prerequisites:
No previous experience is necessary.
