Introduction to Silk Painting

$90 (includes all materials) Learn the basic steps of hand-painting on silk using "resist" and steam-set dyes. Hand-painted silk is a wonderful, vibrant medium that allows you to create art you can wear, decorate with, or simply admire! In this workshop, you can expect to create a a small, greeting card sized sample piece as well as a larger 14"x14" square that can be framed or is perfect for a decorative cushion cover. The instructor will share her knowledge of the medium and process based on her 20+ years working with silk and dyes.
The workshop is offered at the artist's home studio in Langley, BC and is limited to 4-5 participants.
