Knife Painting Workshop

Learn fundamental design and texture-based knife painting methods. Knife painting (a.k.a. ‘palette’ knife painting) focuses on alla prima application of paint in simplified zones of textured colour. Ken's approach pays special attention to seeing subject as easy shapes, developing simul­tan­eous contrasts and creating textured strokes to evoke natural effects. An intensive atelier-style workshop that includes demos, hands-on painting, one-on-one, critique and handouts. (12 hrs)
