Magic with Mixed Media

This is a day to immerse yourself in the magic and joy of mixed media. You will learn how to incorporate found treasures, memorabilia and ephemera into beautiful pieces of art through a variety of painting, aging and collaging techniques. This will be a time to discover, share, create and have fun. Start collecting interesting and meaningful bits of paper, buttons, keys, lace, pictures or anything that catches your eye. If you can glue it you can collage it! We will be working on a variety of surfaces and supports from watercolour paper to wood cradle panels and leave with a nice selection of completed art pieces. No experience is necessary, just a willingness to play and colour outside the lines.
