February 1, 2016 – Please note: This demonstration is full and no further registration will be taken. Thank you for your interest!

Incorporate words and found objects into your mix media works with acrylic mediums, water soluble media, and layering.

Text and collage together can provide various possibilities of expression. Words can be used as examples of visual poetry and provide another layer of meaning beyond what images alone can do.

Vanessa will be sharing her interest and process of using text in her mixed media painting. She will be discussing her approach to choosing text based materials for collage and show different ways to combine these with handwriting. During this demonstration, you will get a general overview of basic collage techniques to add texture and visual interest in your mixed media painting.

Learn how to best layer media, products, and words to convey the meaning of your mixed media piece!

Space is limited and registration is required.
Please visit Opus North Vancouver or contact them at 604‑904‑0447 to register.
