Acrylic Pouring: The Swipe, the Fluid, the Dirty with Brian Crovet

In this demonstration Brian will show attendees his method for creating dramatic artworks using acrylic pouring techniques.

He will discuss the various strategies and materials necessary to achieve the desired aesthetic of the current cell-based acrylic pour art trend. While it has yet to prove it's archival potential while using silicone and other materials to create the cells, it is hard to ignore the appeal and beauty of this powerful trend.

Brian will discuss the different additives available including silicone and alcohol along with the different pouring mediums and mediums disguised as pouring mediums.

Brian Crovet studied and worked as an interior designer in Ontario before moving to beautiful BC in the late 70s. Working as a successful watercolour artist , displaying in Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary and Seattle. Acrylics’ versatility has led him to a more in depth study of the medium and all its possibilities.
