Call for Submissions - Firehall Arts Centre Gallery

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS

The Firehall Gallery is a unique brick faced gallery space located in the lobby of the Firehall Arts Centre. The Centre is entering into its 30th season as a producer and presenter of contemporary dance, theatre and multi-disciplinary work. Operating year round, the gallery enjoys a large diverse audience. Gallery hours are Wed. – Sat. from 1:00 -5:00 p.m.

The Firehall is currently inviting proposals from artists for exhibitions for 2012/2013. We are particularly interested in work that engages with contemporary issues. Unfortunately, due to space constraints we can only accommodated 2-D works.
Exhibitions will run approximately 6 weeks.

SUBMISSION GUIDELINES:

• Submitted works must be no smaller that 8” x 10”
• Submit up to 15 numbered images, on CD, 300 dpi, with .jpg extension. List images as they appear on the CD. Must be Mac compatible.

PLEASE INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:
• Brief exhibition Proposal
• CD of images
• List of images
• CV
• Artist’s Statement - 300 words max.
• Self addressed stamped envelope (SASE), if you wish to have your images returned. We cannot be responsible for materials without a SASE or adequate postage.
